My friend Stephanie came by the house the other day to have a chat and she brought two of her 3 children with her. Her oldest, Kaylen, who is ten days older than Gabriel, was at morning preschool. Gabriel and Alexah watched Pocahontas. He loved playing with her! Her youngest, Emalyn, who is a little over two weeks older than Jenny, was showing Jenny how to crawl properly. They had a good time getting to know each other!
This next one is one of my favorites…
In the next picture, Emalyn is trying to teach Jenny how to clap!
So much fun
Tang moved with us and it has been an interesting adventure for him so far. For the first two days he refused to come out from under my bed until, finally, his bladder made him. He came out long enough to pee on Gabes bed. After that happened, we put Tang in the downstairs bathroom with his litter pan and food and water. He liked that much better cause he was isolated from the other animals and could relax a little bit. He has now been venturing out and about but has yet to venture up the stairs.
Not that he hasn’t thought about it though…
and this is why he hasn’t made it up there yet…
(Lilly starts hissing at him the moment he comes into view)
Therefore he just explores his new downstairs living accomodations
And sometimes he just likes to chill on the fireplace.
He is a good kitty
Here are a few pictures of our bedroom for anyone wondering how Jenny, Gabe and I are sharing it…
It is actually quite spacious and comfortable…
Going through 29 years of stuff that I have collected. I am a pack rat so this is a very large task. I also like to think over every little thing. Jenny is being a big help. She decided to become compeletly mobile today. Good for her. Bad for me! Anyway, I thought that I would write something since I haven’t in a while. Moving took priority! Oh well…I had better get back to work. Hope everyone is having a good day and not blowing away in this wind!
Kids are in bed. They are sleeping in their separate rooms for the last time. Gabriel is fine about the move as long as I keep reassuring him that he gets to take his bunk bed with him. There is no doubt that it will be interesting, and trying at times, sharing a room with an almost 4-year-old and an 8 month old. However, we will make it work and we might even have a bit of fun. I am sure we will be doing some bonding that wouldn’t otherwise have happened. This thought makes me happy. It will be a special time and I am going to do my best to make the room a haven for us three.
Be praying that my mother and I pace ourselves. We tend to get psychically ill when we try to get up and do stuff too fast!
Jenny is asleep. She always amazes me at bed time, which is around 6:30 or 7. She doesn’t go to sleep until you actually put her in her crib. I put her in, wide awake, and she turns over, curls up with her blankie, and I leave the room. She hardly ever makes a peep. Sometimes it can take her a while to go to sleep though. I can hear her playing or moving around trying to get comfy. Other times she is asleep before I leave the room. I just never know.
Gabe is about to go to bed himself. He has had a snack (banana and apple juice) and is now curled up on my bed watching Winnie the Pooh for the billionth time. He will be getting into his own bed in about 5 mins though.
OH and Jenny got to go to Lowes for the first time and she got to sit in the cart seat for the first time ever!
And she got to sit on a tractor!
She is sooo tiny!
